Concert Shmoncert...
What a disappointment...I was supposed to go to the Yuhua and River Valley Bands' Concert at the Esplanade in the afternoon. The thing is, I actually went there with Sister#2 (who thought that her friend was performing, little did we know that it was a concert ONLY by the alumni) only to be welcomed by a long queue. (It was already 2.45. The doors opened at 2 and concert commences at 3). Then I sms-ed Rizal to ask whether there was still place, but he was probably busy preparing and stuff. Then came the banshee's shreak of death-to-come. Yes, very dramatic I know. I was that disappointed. As I was saying, the banshee..this announcement thanking us; the people full of hope and sheer determination that we'd somehow manage to get seats, for our great interest in PopLite (the concert's name) and that the concert hall was approaching full house status. It was just a much more mild-mannered way of saying "Get out of here you pathetic people, Go Home!!" Then came this usher who walked down the queue, intermittently informing groups of concert-goers that we were not gauranteed of seats. Then came the final blow: Another announcement reiterating the fact that they were thankful for our great interest in the concert and that they regret to inform that the concert hall is FULL!! AAAHHHH!! Oh, the sheer disappointment...
